SwiftBroadband (SBB) is the latest offering from Inmarsat. Users can simultaneously surf the web, check email, talk on the phone and provide the flight crew with critical information. Aircraft with an intermediate gain system can see speeds up to 332 kbps through a single channel or up to 664 kbps utilizing dual channels. Aircraft equipped with a high gain system can see speeds up to 432 kbps through a single channel and up to 864 kbps utilizing dual channels. Data rates can be increased further by using multiple data channels and compression. Using AirSatOne's Xstream AOC, users can speed up their browsing experience while at the same time reduce airtime cost. (link to Xstream AOC) SwiftBroadband has near global coverage with the only limitations being far Northern and Southern Latitudes (>70º N & S). With an ASO SwiftBroadband service plan, your passengers and flight crew will be connected while on the ground, in the air, in remote areas and around the globe.
SwiftBroadband enables cockpit and cabin applications, including voice, VoIP, text messaging, email, internet and VPN access, as well as flight plan, weather and chart updates.
- Simultaneous voice and broadband data
- Contended IP data at up to 432 kbps/ channel (high-gain antenna)
- Contended IP data at up to 332 kbps (intermediate-gain antenna)
- Dynamic IP data streaming at 8, 16, 32, 64 and 128 kbps

SB200 is the latest offering from Inmarsat. Users can simultaneously surf the web, check email, talk on the phone and provide the flight crew access critical information. Aircraft with a SB200 low gain system can see speeds up to 200 kbps through a single channel. SB200 systems use a low gain non-steered antenna which comes in a smaller footprint than larger intermediate gain and high gain antennas. With an ASO SwiftBroadband 200 service plan, your passengers and flight crew will be connected while on the ground, in the air, in remote areas and around the globe.
